A Minecraft Movie
The Experience :
Reignite created a large-scale, immersive environment that brought Minecraft’s Overworld to life inside one of Canada’s busiest shopping centres. Fans were invited to step directly into the film’s universe through a highly visual, interactive build designed to encourage exploration, photo-sharing, and repeat engagement.
The activation featured film-accurate set pieces, interactive moments, and multiple photo opportunities that allowed guests to fully immerse themselves in the world of Minecraft while seamlessly connecting the experience to the upcoming theatrical release.
Our Role :
- Reignite led the experience from concept to execution, overseeing:
- Creative strategy and experiential design
- Fabrication and build production
- Onsite operations and staffing
- Guest flow, line management, and accessibility planning
- Influencer and media integration support
- Every element was designed and executed with family-friendly engagement and high guest throughput in mind.
Results :
The activation became a March Break destination, drawing steady crowds throughout its run and generating significant organic sharing across social platforms. The experience delivered widespread national visibility through earned media, influencer participation, and fan-generated content, extending its impact well beyond the physical footprint of the installation.
Why It Worked :
By transforming a beloved digital world into a tangible, real-world environment, the activation blurred the line between screen and reality. The combination of craftsmanship, interactivity, and strategic timing created a highly shareable experience that resonated across generations and helped position A Minecraft Movie as a must-see theatrical event.
